Wondering What Size Your Pet Needs?
In the world of pet clothes, there are no standard sizes. A large for one manufacturer may be a medium for another. One of the goals of Wiggles and Spins is to list the measurements for each product rather than simply state whether the item is a small, medium, or large. Each product should have sizing information available.
Perhaps the most important measurement is the Chest. If an item fits a dog's neck but is tight around his/her waist, it will be uncomfortable to wear; whereas, if the chest fits comfortably, the neck and length should follow suit. We want you to be happy with your purchase. Please reference your pet's measurements prior to purchase to ensure a proper fit.
Measuring
- Measure length of pet’s back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
- Measure neck circumference.
- Measure the broadest part of the chest.

Sizing for Coats, Sweaters, Shirts and Safety Vests:
Measure length of pet’s back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. If the measurement is between sizes, we recommend going up one size. Also, if pet has a stout build, a deep chest, or is overweight, we recommend going up a minimum of one size for proper fit. If the dog is long-backed, like a Dachshund, a smaller size is recommended.
Harnesses and Flotation Vests:
Measure girth around the broadest part of the chest and add 2".
Midriff Style Jackets and Shirts:
For shorter midriff style garments, measure the length of pet’s back from base of neck to base of tail. Due to the unique styling of midriff garments, they may sit higher on the dog’s back.
Hats:
For proper fit, measure the length of head from ½" above dog’s brow to back of head.
